Welcome to Potato Potahto, a charming cafe nestled at 3 Gemstone Boulevard in Carine, WA. This delightful spot is not just about satisfying your caffeine addiction; it’s a community hub that radiates warmth and friendliness, making it an ideal retreat for both casual coffee dates and leisurely lunch breaks.

Step inside, and you’ll immediately be greeted by the intriguing aroma of freshly brewed coffee that beckons you to indulge. The staff here are recognized for their welcoming demeanor, adding to the inviting atmosphere. Regulars like dman 319 rave about the expertly prepared coffee, noting that it embodies the perfect balance—rich in flavor and just the right temperature. But it doesn’t stop there; the thin, crispy bacon cooked to perfection has been hailed as the best in Perth, creating an experience that’s both satisfying and memorable.

When it comes to the menu, Potato Potahto offers a varied selection that caters to all tastes. For those with a sweet tooth, the cafe is known for its scrumptious raspberry and white chocolate muffins, described by Blackpoolrock as “the best I’ve ever eaten.” Additionally, the savory offerings, such as the homemade sausage roll and well-seasoned quiche, are a must for lunch. Another captivating dish is the “Popeye” burger, praised for its generous, juicy chicken fillet that offers a delightful crunch on the outside while remaining tender within, as Troy Pearce attests.

However, it’s fair to note that not all experiences have been perfect; one customer, Hannah Brockway, found the cakes a bit underwhelming, noting the dryness of the croissant. Yet, the cafe’s commitment to friendliness and a comfortable dining experience seems to outweigh such isolated critiques.

Whether you’re in search of a quick coffee pick-me-up or a cozy meal, Potato Potahto paints an enticing picture with its heartwarming ambiance, delicious food, and passionate staff. If you’re in the Carine area, make sure to stop by this hidden gem—you might just discover your new favorite cafe!

Coffee was great. They even got the almond milk to froth up a lot. Cakes were disappointing. Not very tasty and the croissant was quite dry. The staff were all very friendly though.

I think I’ve found my new favourite place for lunch! The staff are absolutely lovely, very welcoming. The menu has a great selection from waffles to burgers. My friend got the chicken burger, he said it was the best one he’s had in ages, I got a sausage roll and a little quiche which were both homemade, the quiche was delicious, the pastry nice and crumbly and thin, the filling was well seasoned and fluffy. The pork and fennel sausage rolls were the best sausage roll I’ve had. I told the waitress this and as they were closing they gave me the last one which I was more than happy to have. I’m looking forward to trying the waffles next time.

Most importantly - Coffee was great. Finally a cafe that knows how to slice and cook bacon, thin and crispy without being overcooked - best I've had in Perth. Young lady / chef was very pleasant. If this is your local you've scored big.

An excellent coffee, good strength and correct temperature but omg you need to try the raspberry and white chocolate muffins they are amazing, I can honestly say the best I've ever eaten (and I've eaten a lot)

I tried this quaint, fresh little cafe for my lunch break. The service first of all was friendly and prompt. The food was the big kicker. Ordered the Popeye and it did not disappoint. The chicken fillet was bigger then the burger. Talk about eating with you eyes first! It was tender inside and crispy out. Best burger I've had in a while. Will definitely return when I'm in the area. Worth a check.

This place just ticks all boxes. Coffee is one of the best I had in Perth. I have tried several of their dishes. For me the zucchini slice hit the spot. However the bacon and egg burger is exceptional! The owners are extremely attentive to all my unusual request. This place is a bit off-road so not getting the attention it deserves for a coastal cafe.
